MSD Fast Tach wiring.....only 3 wires ?

I have an older tach with 3 wires. Red is hot, black is ground, and green is coil. The light works all the time when car is turned on. Check it with a multi meter. See if the black is ground. If so, it's easy to figure out the other 2.
