NOS '65 Dart candy canes on eBay - Ugh! But the price!

I went ahead and bought Laysons for my street Dart, which I believe are now $380 a pair plus the ride. Great quality, and I finally have something up there!
If a guy is real creative, you could possibly take a solid aluminum rod and get it bent to shape, then split down the middle ? Not cheap either, and not perfect, but a lot better than banged up originals. On my race car, the trim is nothing more than chrome covered door edge guard, glued directly to the fenders. It is tough to get it to stay in place, and took a couple of small screws after a couple of years.
