Insect repellant strips away clear coat on paint

This has been known for a long time in the guitar circles!! Spray yourself down with deet based insect repellant, ruin your guitars finish! Just ask my buddy Jimmy Grant, who sprayed himself down before playing his prized Martin at one of our pig roasts!! Finish ruined, value decreased significantly!! BEWARE!!!!
