331 Hemi Blown Help

First of all, it was a suggestion, people can have an opinion. Second of all, you can use the 331 and 354 heads on the 392, making that a moot point. Third of all, where did I say anything about being stuck with anything, and where did I say he shouldn't use the supercharger? Fourth of all, what's the problem with using aftermarket internal parts made for other make engines?

Well,You are certainly entitled to suggestions and opinions, just as I am to point out
the irrationality of such. The point was the OP has all he needs to make big power without
the taller deck ht. and increased wt.,the former being the reason for the inferior cyl. heads
in the first place. The added expense for finding such is just one more logical hash in the neg.
Using the 331 heads on the 392 requires an intake system mod or custom job =$$$,and
of course means no hood clearance, which is at a premium to start with.
Stating using a 331 as hardly worth the effort implies the OP is stuck w/an inferior eng.,
and I was referring to Mr. Norm's Supercharged 340 cars, which nobody here would argue that
a HEMI headed eng. of the same disp. would somehow be insufficient.
I have used brand X parts in cyl. head work and other areas of eng. building, the point
again was the eng. has probably been raced more miles a 1/4 at a time than any other in
history.I find it hard to imagine there is a reason to tap the poncho bin for any parts,???
