Just picked up the second A Body of my collecting career. This time a '64 Barracuda. It was originally a 273 car I think but now has a non running 225 in it. It is fairly rusty. Not sure exactly what my plans for the car are yet, but would like to try and decode the fender tag and see what it originally had. I'm in Kansas City and also looking for folks that could help with the technical aspects of what I'd like to do eventually.

I've got the vin decoded, V44, but looking to get the fender tag looked up. I've been to many and just can't find the right codes that are on my tag.

Post a pic of it here and I'm sure the FABO fender tag pro's will do their magic.

And welcome!

Thanks for the welcomes! Been lurking a while waiting for my first barracuda to come along. I've already posted these in another section as well. Looking for some definitive answers if there are any. Not only did I find the build sheet under the back seat, there were 3 copies.

you have the same color as me (AA1 is poly gold) I will try and help with more later.Welcome! Get that fish back on the road!

Thanks for the welcomes 65goldcuda and 1969VADart. I'm just trying to confirm really that it was a v8 car and get another small block to go back in so I can get it road worthy and go from there. Needs floor pans first, at least up front. It is solid from the seats back at least. Little rust in the fenders, lower quarters etc., but repairable I think.

Welcome. Almost a twin to DartDoctor's ride, he will see this eventually.

I can help you a little with the fender tag.

If your car VIN starts with V44 it will be a V8 car originally.

P5Y Gold vinyl interior
AA1 Poly Gold

Someone else might be able to help you a bit more with what else they can get out of your build sheet.

My 65 Dart is AA-1. There is a Medium Gold used on 99 Lincolns that is a dead ringer for that color.
