cheap paint job
I did my fiancee's dart with a roller, and a gallon of a Rustoleum color i mixed.
The amount of time wet sanding it and buffing it outweighed the time it would have taken to build a spray booth somewhere and shoot it, but now I can say I've done it. It's out of my system. It also took 4 coats to cover since you have to thin it out a lot with mineral spirits.
I'd likely not do it again, but at about $65.00 eh...
I talked to someone who used to paint cars for $29.95. He said they scratched them up with some brillo pads or scotchbrite or something (I dont remember) and that was plenty good for paint adhesion and then they shot the car.
