3 Car Garage

-
The footer has been dug, the concrete block laid and gravel spread in preparation for the cement pad. On Thursday they will be putting up the walls. I can't wait to park my Dart in this thing!

A better picture of the progress, this thing is really moving along! The only thing that sucks is that I'm out on a business trip and my wife is actually send me these pictures so I haven't been able to see any of this in person. Can't wait until I'm home on Friday!

Here is a pic of a 24 x 34. 10'6" ceiling with a drive on hoist. It works but I wish I would of gone 26 x 34 as it's tight when I put my truck in there.

Your looks good, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it once you get er done.

Looks good! Yeah I know what you mean, I wish I would've gone bigger as well. I'm looking to put a lift in mine is well. I had them put in12 foot walls so I should be OK. My wife tells me that there is supposed to be a lot of work done today I can't wait for the pictures. I'm still on the road but I will be back tomorrow

You lucky guy... mine is 24×28 but only 9'6" from slab to celing... trying to figure a way to put a lift. Looking into notching the rafters..

Here is mine 40 X 50. 3 12 X 12 roll up doors and 10,000 Foward lift.

The shop is a mess as had trailer in re-decking it. In the process of moving work benches and adding shelving to get stuff off the floor. Then get the Suzuki GS running. Then with the cool weather coming back on the Cuda. As you see in the pics never big enough. Insulate the crap out of it too.

Thanks, I am feeling lucky. My builder was originally going to knock out the Raptors for me but when I found out that it was only an extra 800 bucks to go from 10 foot walls 2 12 foot walls I was all over it. I'm sure that yours will work out just fine.

WOW!!!!! Now THAT'S what I call a garage! I could have gotten a much larger pole building but my wife was worried about aesthetics. No problem though I am absolutely thrilled to get a stand alone garage. The doors are 8 foot tall and should allow for me to bring that I own into it. More pictures to follow today

More pictures, progress is coming along fast! Me and a friend of mine dug the trench for electricity this weekend and laid the PVC pipe in. I will finish running the electricity once the garage is completed. Enjoy the pictures

Looking good!
FYI I think I saw your Dart at the Mopar feature night in wexford.

Looking great. But maybe I missed it somewhere. What size did you go with?

Got a 32x40. FULL. Here is the lift I use....I have 10'6" to ceiling but was too tight for a permanent lift...

WOW am I glad that I went with the 12 foot high ceilings. I was originally going to get 10 foot ceilings and have them modify the trusses in order to fit the lift but the builder told me that 12 foot walls were only going to be another $800. Glad that I listen to him

Sorry that I missed you! I am going to the cruise tomorrow as well if you are there stop by and say hello I'm always glad to meet new people especially Mopar people!

I could only afford 24 x 36 but I have almost an acre of flat land and room for expansion later. By the way guys, THE CEMENT PEOPLE ARE COMING TODAY, IT WON'T BE LONG UNTIL IT'COMPLETED!!!!!

More pictures coming.

Looks good so far.

Maybe I missed it, but were you looking to get a 2 post, or a 4 post lift?

The 4 post will not need as much head room unless you're lifting vans or light trucks. I forget the exact height on my garage ceiling, but I know I have almost 12' to the bottom side of the steel I beams. The I beams are 12" high, so the floor joists on the second floor sit roughly 13' from the concrete floor of the garage.

Here is where I bought my lifts from..... http://www.e-autolifts.com/index.html

There is a good chart with a break down of size options that cover height, width, length, etc.

That's a good point, but I already reinforced the floor where the two posts are going to go from my lift. I should have enough ceiling clearance for anything that I'm going to lift. Even though I had 8 foot tall doors, the tracks are 12 foot high and only go about 6 foot across the ceiling. Thanks for the links I will check them out

We have doors! It took 3 weeks to get them on but we do have them and the snow hasn't hit yet lol. Here are a few pictures of the doors i also installed a 100 amp sub-panel (what a pain digging a 30ft long 2 ft deep ditch) and 2 220 volt heaters. What a bargin price $129.00 at Tractor Supply, Amazon couldn't even get close to that price. 17,065 BTUs each, one makes the garage toasty at 3,4 setting on thermostat, the insulation isn't even complete and the cieling panels aren't on.

Well there has been a ton of progress on the garage, my buddy Larry and I hung drywall and completely wired the garage. I am bringing the Dart over today to beat the rain that's coming in on Thursday and Friday of this week. Looks like I'm going to get it in the garage just under the wire before the snow season.
Here are the pictures.
