I've noticed for about two months now that whenever I take my Dart into the city or in an area with guardrails and such, I can hear a clicking on my left side. It's definitely speed-related, but unless the sound has something to reflect off of, it's too quiet to hear. I've replaced the axle bearings last year and the wheel bearings just this morning, but I still am hearing it. Could it be something in my trim ring? When I have the car lifted and spin the wheel, there's no sound.

Trim rings, like hubcaps, normally will creek or click in turns and such the flex the wheel and tire.
Easy way to rule the out. Pull them off and put a wrap or 2 of duct tape on their teeth that bite into the wheel.
Very common fault with these model of cars is disc brake caliper or pad movement. Caliper kits come with rubber bands that very few install or even know where the go.
Outer pad has 2 tangs on the top that can be bent tighter to the caliper to reduce movement. That is my best guess.

Caps, trim rings or pads are almost always the cause of clicks.

The flux capacitor is loose.

Do you have rallye wheels ? Could be a centre cap a few of the bolts are loose

When I had an 8 1/4 in my car I started to notice the same sound, but only when driving beside a cement barrier that reflected the sound, it was coming from the back of the car. When I upgraded to the 8 3/4 I opened up the 8 1/4 and found that a few of the through bolts that hold the sure grip unit together had broken and the bolts had slid out and were contacting the bearing caps in the differential. Other than the noise everything else seemed normal with it.

As has also been said the problem could be related to a front or back brake assembly (I have also seen broken drum brake adjuster cables making a clicking sound), trim rings, hubcaps, wheel nuts etc. Have a good look at everything.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Looks like possibly the wheels/center caps/trim rungs are my next thing to look at. :) Thanks!

I'm having the exact same problem. It's coming from the rear driver side area. I looked at the brakes all around the car (all drum) and everything is fine. When the car is jacked up, there's no clicking sound at all. Put the wheels on and there's still no clicking sound when I spin them while jacked up. But it's there when the car is on the ground and moving.

Clicking gets faster, the faster I go. Is tough to hear unless it's reflecting off of something. One strange thing is that sometimes when I'm off the throttle and I take a fairly sharp right hand turn, it almost sounds like I'm dragging an empty tin can behind the car. The sound is quite a bit different than the normal click. Once the car straightens out, that sound goes away.

The sound was happening while I had steelies on and it's still happening now that I changed to rallyes so I'm kind of at a loss.
