I am looking for a rebuilt Carter AFB 3854S for our 1965 Barracuda 273 Commando. We do NOT have the old carb. We replaced it with a nice Holley but now want to go back to the original. Thanks for any help or leads!
 
What Holley carb did you have? I'm looking for a Carb for my 65 Barracuda. I just got a commando intake and need a carb.

No holley will fit original commando 273 intake without an adapter. small base AFB, large base holley. :burnout:MT

Why wouldn't a square bore Holley fit it? I believe they came with AFB's (Maybe WCFB's, not sure) from the factory and they have the same base as a Holley.
 
it won't the AFB base size is different. Th secondaries won't open as they hit the intake. You would have to grind around the holes on the intake carb flange, real thick gasket or use adapter. In 68-up the AVS/Holley are now the same.
