The initial setup instructions they sent us say 30'. I am planning on trying to set the distributor phasing at 20' next to see if it takes care of the starting issue. All the behaviors I'm seeing so far point towards too much initial advance, - that's why I started playing with less by rotating the distributor but I haven't phased the distributor at that setting yet.
