Like it says......What would you do??

I put my 65 Barracuda into the wall, nose first, didn't even break the head lights. No front bumper or grill in the way, so they did not get hurt. Pushed the fenders back into the doors, so the doors didn't open, the core support got pushed back, and the frame horns are accordioned about 2 to 3 inches. Passenger inner fender is wrinkled back by the fire wall.

How would fix it with out breaking the bank?

Thanks,

Jim

Jim though the description is horrific, pics would give the real story. I'm no wizz at this but some of the guys work miracles. If they can see the actual condition to give advise...

My fix on a budget would be to start climbing through the windows!

Honestly though I would get a torch and a hammer and try to repare the core support. If your not wanting to get new fenders because of money then maybe hit them with a wheel until you can get the doors open. It's hard to tell though without pictures.

I can get some pics, I'm not worried about the fenders, I've picked up usable replacements.

I should also add that I'm doing this all pretty much by myself so ideas need to be one man operations.

If you put some pulling pressure on it like with chain and come along, you might pull it right back out again. The metal does get weaker though.

I thought about pulling it out, but there are problems of anchorage and what to get a hold of, easier said than done.

I'm not sure with that damage that it should be pulled to fix it. Cut the nose off and replace the front clip. That can be done by one guy with a spot weld cutter and a mig. Pulling will leave it weak, and you have noidea when it's back in line.

Pay a good frame guy for his opinon, not an estimate. $40. for half hour of his time.

This is the direction I'm leaning in, have a doner car.

We have chained them to trees and used the engine to pull them back out. Stories I could tell. LOL
