Been readin yall got it bad up there. You ok my friend?

He's been checking in the coffee thread each morning.

They got some good flooding, but I understand that it's starting to drain back some, but some roads may be closed still...

He's on now...

Hey Rob, nice of you to check on me. Like Karl said the mess is not over. Still many roads closed throughout the area due to standing water. My place is high and the marshes haven't been filled in so the water has some place to go. Except there is water on the road still, a truck can get out, but I didn't want to risk it in my little car. I rode to the store with my neighbors right before it got ugly. It rained some more this afternoon and cabin fever has set in. The governor is keeping schools, etc., closed tomorrow and asked people to stay home. Thank God we didn't have much wind. There are so many old Live Oak trees around and if they start dropping limbs, cars and roofs get crushed and power gets knocked out. I never even lost power or internet.

Thanks for checkin in. Glad you are ok. Caint have my buddy up there in trouble.

Hey David! Stay safe my friend...

The rain is back tonight for us.....Been running my rain gauge & came up with 20.3" from Thurs. to this morning. The daylight hours Sun. have been good...even a little sun, but the F'in rain is back again tonight. Fortunately we live in a development that has good "storm" drainage. Not worried at all from rising water, just the 3 giant 100' neighbor's pines right behind us 30' away from the house. With the saturated ground, any wind certainly wouldn't be our friend.

Wow! That's alot of rain.... #-o

Imagine if that was snow... 1" of rain is equal to 4" of snow....
