Looking to put air ride on my 66 valiant 200 wagon. I know I need a 4 link for the rear end but wondering how I would get the front set up for air ride... Anyone know of anyone doing this and or what I should look into. Thanks-Zach

2 routes to go are: Switch to a GM A-body as you can just buy what parts you need to bolt it on and go.
2nd route would be using a Art-Morrison frame or similar frame for all the air ride setup along with the correct geometry then modify the body to fit the frame.

edit: after 2 days and no answer I thought some answer was better then none. Others would argue I am sure.

Thanks amx, I was wondering though if I was to get a bolt on coilover kit to replace the torsion bar set up if I could then install the air ride? Just thinking that would be easiest. Thanks-Zach

That would be the way to go. It has been done before, there was a '71 Demon in Popular Hot Rodding a few years back that used an RMS coilover conversion and RMS street lynx 4 link rear with ShockWave air ride. Best bet might be to contact Bill at RMS about it.

Here's the article

and the car...

Awesome thanks for the info, I thought that would be the easiest route. I'm also going to do a power disc brake conversion and throw some bigger wheels on her, I think she will look bad ***....

Just thinking hear, John Dillinger's coilover conversion would work for air ride right? I mean if you have a coilover suspension your set up for air ride right? That would be the cheapest route as I'll be spending a couple grand on the air ride itself.

Dillinger hasn't been in business for a few years now. Unless you've found someone that bought his stuff back then and is getting rid of it, you can't get it.

If cost is your concern, talk to Hemi Denny. The HDK is a little cheaper than RMS, and he'd be able to work with you on any custom stuff you might need for the air ride.

I had a 65 like that, back in about 74 or so.Slanty. converted to 340.Wish it woulda looked like yours. I was 21. Cars were cheap. When one died, we just got another one. It was cheaper than motor jobs. Sometimes I miss her.
Yours is a beaut!

Yeah $ is always a concern. 340 conversion sounds sweet, I'm thinking of a 276 DeSoto Hemi engine just to be unique... And I will look into HDK, thanks for the advice guys!
