Was just cruising GTS's new website, seen something I thought warranted its own thread. Looks like GTS is offering a coil over kit that uses the factory K and spindles now! Wonder what it'll cost when they release it? Either way, glad to see another product for mopars.

What some A body people want, no torsion bars for header room. Not a bad idea. Wonder what the price point will be?

$1300 for the full kit. I'm buying this setup.

Including coil overs?

If so, that's a heck of a deal. Viking Coil overs are at least $550-600 of that.

***Edit, I did confirm, that's the price WITH everything needed to bolt on and go.***

HDK is also offering coil over conversions for the stock K frame. I have one of the first sets to try out. They do not come with shocks so you choose your own.

Losing the torsion bars will be nice. Plus they are lighter than the stock LCA.

so whats so new here? there have been kits to put coilovers on mopars while using the stock k-frame and all for years now...

magnumforce used to sell a kit and so did rms i believe.

add to that price something to brace the stock shock towers too.

True, the shock towers will have to be strengthened. They were not designed to take the force of shock dampening and supporting the front of the car. I would be up for some sort of heavy (3/16 "??) plate support that could go inside the wheel well (bolt or weld), but I would not be interested if I had to put a bunch of bracing inside the engine compartment.

Ok, for the record, no, this is not some new invention like some seem to think others are making it out to be, secondly, before you start misleading others, maybe you should know what a kit contains. Just to clarify, a full kit contains the following: New upper and lower control arms, new machined pivot pin with rear brace, viking double adjustable coil overs, new adjustable strut rods, and a shock tower hoop that ties in and stiffens the factory shock tower. We will also sell by piece if that's what's desired. Some of you remember junior636's lower control arm thread, he is the one making these kits, and simply selling them under my name for marketing purposes, i simply dont have time, or the desire to mess with stock suspension, if you have questions, please call me, or contact junior636, my website is up and running, although not complete, I also tend to stay off forums because I've seen some of the crap that goes on in these forums, there are several ways to get questions answered besides here, so respectfully asking, please don't put information up that you have no idea what you're talking about.

Thanks,
Carl

Oh look....someone posted about another company's products in a thread not about that company.....wanna bet he doesn't get blasted for it the way I got blasted for simply saying there are more than one option. I guess as long as you worship HDK, it's ok......Some people on this site crack me up.

Never said it was the only option, I said there is now another offering......

Btw, the kit is complete, including shock tower bracing, so no, you do not need to buy anything else.

Well I guess the website and pictures need to be updated with the actual correct information.

I'm not sure where you're looking but his website does say....

"
Happy with your factory K frame? Want to stay with Mopar spindles? A full tubular kit not in your budget? Then GTS has a solution for you.

Introducing the GTS JW Super Stock Coil Over conversion kit!!

Kits Will Include:
New upper and lower control arms
New machined pivot pin with rear brace
Viking double adjustable coil overs
New adjustable strut rods
A shock tower hoop that ties in and stiffens the factory shock tower.

We will also sell by piece if that's what's desired.

In the fall/winter of 2015, GTS will be offering a Coil Over Conversion kit that will use factory spindles and allow you to do away with the factory torsion bar set up without having to get a full tubular K frame. This kit will feature Viking Coil Over shocks and springs as well. This product is still in testing and is tentatively scheduled for a late October 2015 release."

Maybe he updated it this morning, but it's there now

Thanks for the info about a new product. Posting it in a new thread was good, because it will get more looks. :prayer: No need for the bickering to have followed you into this new thread, because you went about posting the info in absolutely the right way this time. O:)

No kidding, apparently there are some really upset people who don't like the fact someone else is making a fabulous product, and giving people more options.

I don't have a problem at all with you bringing this up. Don't "know" if I'd ever be interested or could afford, so that's another matter.

But your thread title does imply "new" I think that might be how Joe took things.

eh maybe it should say a new option instead...

I don't understand the logic of spending 1300 dollars to make more room for headers when you can just buy a quality header like TTIs or Dougs and 500-600 dollars left over. Maybe I am missing something here.

Off the shelf headers don't work for everyone, it's nice to have some room if your building your own headers.

I have been on this site quite a while and have seen and heard good and bad suggestions/products. That being said- it is ALWAYS a good idea to post everything needed to switch from factory to ANY new product. The pros don't always outweigh the cons. The old saying"if you build a better mousetrap the world will beat a path to your door" is one to be used. Good luck with whatever you do but it's not just the sale of a product that makes it a success-customer service is a must!
