I have a 1972 340 standard bore block with caps. The bore size is 4.03, it was cast on 2-10-72 and under the left head it reads;LM340L H2. $500 and it is located in Michigan. PM me here. Thanks. Greg

I am in Pinckney, Mi. and there are no numbers stamped near the pan rail. Possibly a warranty block??
 
Correct... 4.040" std bore for the 340. You can see ring wear in the bores so it is going to be bigger than that.
