I'm finally posting "the other woman," as my wife likes to call it, up for sale. With recently getting married, graduating from the maritime academy, and purchasing my family's old 69 fish I simply do not have the time to put into this 68 barracuda that it deserves. If you like to look over my restoration thread you can see it here: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=161074&highlight=barracuda+build

Before I start the novel of specs, keep in mind that the fish is currently 75% finished. Still needs some wiring and interior. I've invested roughly 27k in this build over the last 4 years. I can honestly say that if it weren't for me, this car would have been scrapped for parts. As you can see in my resto thread, it was beyond bad but, I took it on anyways and gave this 68 fish another shot at life on the road. Here are the specs:

Body:
New left quarter panel
Roof transplant from a rust free 69 in Colorado
6-8 small patch panels (car had stage 4 cancer)
3 coats of primer/3 coats of color/ 2 coats of clear by Duraglo in Visalia CA (nothing but good things to say about this shop, they do great quality work)
Total invested into the body: ~12,000

Engine:(everything is new, less than 300 miles)
0.03 bored 1992 Roller 360 from a van
Hot tanked, magnafluxed, bored, honed, line honed, etc
Eddie closed chamber aluminum heads
Comp cams XE-280 Hydrolic Roller
Howard roller lifters
Chromoly pushrods
Eddie RPM AirGap intake
Holley 750 DP
Summit Racing Ignition box
Flamethrower coil
Summit billet Distributor
Mildon brass oil pump shaft
Probe Aluminum forged flat top pistons
Molly 3/8th piston rings
Scat I-Beam rods
Scat Cast Crank
ARP head, rod, and main studs
Eddie aluminum water pump
NGK spark plugs
Double roller timing chain
Headman tight tube headers
2.5 in pipes, duel glass packs dumped in front of the axle
Holley blue electric fuel pump and regulator
Be Cool 3in radiator and flex-lite fan
(I may be forgetting somethings but I feel like that's all of it. ALOT of weight was removed from the rotating assembly and I can definitely feel the difference in its acceleration)
Rotating assembly was balanced at performances engines in Sacramento ca

Transmission/drivetrain:
1980 727 fully rebuilt by a member on this great forum (Bad440)
Alto Red clutches
Cheetah RMVB
B&M floor shifter
Aluminum deep sump trans pan
Forged Yukon trans yoke
Custom Aluminum driveshaft
Yukon diff yoke
8.75 with what I believe to be 410s (3k RPM at 60 mph)

Suspension:
73 dart K member with the big disk breaks
New brake pads from pepboys
Monroe shocks
New brake lines
Monroe air shocks in the rear (adjustable for launching)
Original v8 leaf springs
All new wheel studs (right turning)
14x7 5 slot mags professionally primed and painted gloss black.
BFGoodwrench radial TA tires (500 miles)

General:
Original 318/904 car
I had almost all of the chrome and trim however, they are in OK shape(small dents and scratches)
The car starts and drives with no problem. I started to rewire the car from scratch (original harness is in rough shape) so the lights don't currently work nor many of the gauges. Only the Speedo, temp, and oil pressure. Push button start.
The interior is stripped but I still have almost all of the interior pieces. I haven't started the interior.
The trim and emblems are currently in the trunk. The car just looks so good that I haven't started to put them back on.

Even though I've got ALOT invested (as you can see), I know how this passion works and I know that I'll lose a lot by selling it so close to being finished. Truth is, I'm at sea most of the year and when I'm back I try to recoupe some time with my wife and family. Having TWO abody barracudas requires too much time and the family cuda is more important. I'm asking 15,500 obo (Huge loss). I might consider a trade but, it would have to be 100% complete and reliable. Car is located in San Bruno, CA. -Jeremy

I can take a current pic of the interior but all that's changed is I layed a piece of carpet down, installed the floor shifter, and installed the racing seats.

Still for sale/trade. To be clear, there are two racing seats installed along with a b&m floor shifter and the dash of course. The stripped interior pic was a year ago.

I've got the back seats and all the interior pieces (except a panel that goes on the back window.) but they need to be redone and installed. All I have installed in the interior at the moment are two racing seats, the gauges, floor shifter, and a makeshift carpet.

13500 obo. I'm practically giving it away compared to what I've put into it. Worth it for the parts at the very least.

You put a ton of work into this thing and resurrected it from a point where most people would have crushed it. I have a 67 project myself that I'm tired of working on. Wish yours was more complete, I'd take a good look at it since you're semi local. Good luck with the sale man.

This is usually a "export" tag.

Thanks. Yeah I've had it for 5 years yet, I've only been able to enjoy it for a couple hundred miles or so. Toolmanmike Export tag huh? As in it was originally exported in 68? That would be pretty interesting. The tag doesn't have any indented writing in it though. Maybe I'd find something if I took off the paint. Thanks for the info.

I would even consider selling it as a roller. Without the 360/727 I would sell it for 7k.

Hi. Is the org Engine still there. What is missing. Front seat i know. Is it the org wiring?
