Its all good, the best part was my 15 year old had a couple of cavities filled on the same day, after he was done the Dr. asked him sit in the corner and watch while he pull my tooth.
FEAR has got to be one of the best parenting tools. I know I was always afraid my folks would kill me if I got too far out of line. (or if they ever found out about some of the stuff I actually did)
