One thing to keep in mind when "price shopping" stuff like various home built and Megasquirt, etc etc is that most / all of them to my knowledge (except maybe hacking the GM boxes) must have a WB O2 controller separate, so you can "just" tack another 200+ on top of your figures......

I have done the WBO2, but that spoils the tuning fun. In my last car a $10 NB O2 and a 23 yr old LED bar gauge worked fine. It is important to avoid flooding the sensor. Great milage, performance, and a cleaner tailpipe than my new car. I might go closed loop, but really no need, with the stability I have seen after 1000 miles of engine break in.
