So I'm putting a edelbrock manifold on a 318 in a 73 Dart. On top will be a Street Demon carb. Question is they both have 8 mounting holes, should I use the inside or outside pattern.

Thanks Bad I put the studs there but started 2nd guessing myself. Figured I'd check with the experts b4 I committed...Measure twice cut once....

Lol, no expert here, I would just use the outside, because of the wider gasket. In all reality, it probably wouldn't make a whole heap of difference.

Do they in fact all line up?

If I were adapting a squarebore carb, I would use the inside holes.

yea they do, both are made to mount universally..spreadbore/squarebore

it doesn't really matter, I always find myself using the outside holes , but im weird like that

Me too, because I can't help myself even though I know there's a better chance of snapping a corner off using the outer holes.

I always wonder.. looks like the the inner set will put the clamping force more squarely on that thin edge of the manifold.

Actually if you are able to physically assemble it, you would be better off using the INSIDE holes. This will help seal it and prevent the thing from warping.

Its not going to matter, put them where they align.
I just checked my truck, it has a LD4B intake and the same carb, they are on the outside.
Been that way for a few years.
I would think on the outside the nuts would be easier to put on.
