For transmission, I would not go with the 46RE.. they are the known weak point on a dodge truck. If I had a dollar for every time I heard or read "The engine is great but on my 3rd tranny". The 727 is TOUGH..
A 46RE IS a 727---with an OD. They can easily be built, according to anyone I've talked to. But you cannot put a 46RE into an "A" without hacking up the floor.
