Miramar? I work on the base!!
I was at Miramar 70-74. US Navy, 68-74, ETR-2. I maintained the GCA RADAR there. Long gone, there used to be the 'bore sight' range out along the high speed taxiway about "Queen 6". Our shop, now covered over by the Marines, was right off the end of the backside of the range. The old TACAN building and tower further down seems to still be there, I don't know if it's being used.

The shot below is from Bing Maps which is way behind. The T at bottom left is the old TACAN, the S is about where our shop was. What is shown there now is not "it", and THAT has now been covered with a new ramp according to the shots from Google. The "G" is about where the boresight range was
What you are looking at is the W end of 24R and the high speed taxiway, with Q6 about bottom right.
