Oil pan dimensions

Was going to suggest the Canton Pan, did not realize it was discontinued. :(

Yeah, I'll admit it's second hand knowledge from another member on this website but to be honest I don't admire that pan all that much as is. It's a basic aluminum square that isn't even trimmed to match the pan rail. It just looks cheaply thought out when you consider it's $500+ for an oil pan. The road race milodon pan is the same price and has extended capacity, baffling with trap doors, etc. Granted, pretty much every piece of this swap is priced like it's made of titanium and manufactured in Germany.

First question is if you need a front, centre or rear sump location?

Well, obviously a front sump is of no use to me with the rack allowing less than 2.5" of depth up front. The Alterktion suspension puts me in the position of being able to run a mid or rear sump with it being a front steer system. With the engine having a natural downward tilt, I figure a mid sump is the best for clearance and I have about 5.5" worth of room to be even with the rack mounts and hopefully leaving me 5" total ground clearance. My trans pan will be another story, still wondering how I'm going to make that work when everyone suggests deep pans on the 200-4R's. Another problem for another day!
