I also love the older western too. showing a difference in right and wrong, honesty, integrity.... some elements that are missing in a lot of modern tv and movie stuff??

I've been a huge Duke fan for a lot of years and will watch his movies over and over. One of my favorites is "The Searchers". I swear I know the dialogue by heart for most of his movies.
Regarding the newer westerns, "Open Range" with Robert Duval and Kevin Costner is an outstanding movie with all of the elements of right and wrong, honesty, integrity, etc. that the older westerns had.
Another of my favorites for sheer entertainment purpose is "Silverado" with Kevin Cline, Danny Glover, Kevin Costner, Scott Glenn, Jeff Goldblum, John Cleese, Brian Dennehy, Linda Hunt, and Patricia Arquette.
