Newman and McQueen were friendly rivals in Hollywood, Towering Inferno, in which they appeared together was ( according to the trades of the time) a writer's nightmare, trying to balance their 2 roles. Two excellent actors with wonderful screen presence.
Cary Grant was one of the best. My wife and I agree, that in the tradition of the origiNAL James Bond Movies, (ie; From Russia With Love, Dr. No, Goldfinger, Thunderball) Grant would have made an excellent James Bond, had those movies been made 20 years earlier.
