Am I stupid .

If you have no feeling in most of your legs don't use a heating pad .Was wondering why the back of my jeans were soaking wet , took off my jeans and back of my legs were A: bleeding and covered in huge blisters . #-o

Your employer ???

and I most definitely wont have a look at them

but considering where these blisters are, and how hard it will be to keep an eye on them, yeah, I would go see a doctor.
come to think of it, take a bus there so you don't need to sit on it the whole way there
Hard to do as taking the bus would have me sitting in my wheelchair , car would be faster and easier , oh yeah no buses out in the sticks .But it seems clear , was cleaned with betadyne or whatever it's called , polysporin and dressing put on . No red or heat around the wounds , no dark veins or arteries on my leg . If it gets hot and red around the wounds I'll take a trip to the Doctor .

Look I didn't mean to be a jerk but I really thought this all was a joke. The title of the thread is Am I stupid and you are describing what sounds like a very bad second degree burn on a forum and asking what you should do.

No offense meant at all but clearly going to a doctor should be the ONLY reasonable option. At least do it for Badsport he is panicking. "NOW"! Lol.

Sorry for your situation. Makes me feel bad for complaining about my problems. Someone always has it worse. Please go get those burns checked.

My dad did the same thing with his feet about a year ago. Burned the bottom pretty bad.

it wasn't until I read back through the whole post that I noticed you mentioned having leg issues.
If I had read more carefully I might not have made the comment about standing on the bus. it was not meant to be insensitive to your situation, and if you found it offensive I apologize.

P.S. how are things looking today, any better and no sign of infection?

Still looks good , no heat no redness all blood vessels a good colour . Not to worry , I have lot of experience with burns , breaks and stitches . Broken over 30 bones , have over 300 stitches and a few burns . I'm a walking accident . Need both hands to count the number of times I've woken up in the hospital .
The heating pad is a new one , never thought it would burn me , have used it in the past with no problem . Never again that's for sure .
Pics would be a bit much , right ?

Never entered my mind , I realize you only meant to help , besides I have thick skin or am dense and things go right over my head , take your choice .

well you guys were right , went to the Dr 2nd week after I saw there was no improvement ,they are 3rd degree burns . Still going to the clinic every day to have it debrided and treated , they figure another month or so until treatments are over .

Glad you went. Get well.

Might be time to replace the heating pad...I wonder if it might have a short. Mine won't get NEARLY that hot.

Man, sorry to hear all this. Having no feeling.(Neuropathy) is a *****. In my work unfortunately we/I see to much of this especially Diabetics. You got to be carefull not just hot but cold as well.(Icing) You or anyone feeling or not can get burned cold or hot.Not a big fan of Polysporin in long time use. It keeps the damaged skin, wound what ever moist. This in time is a great environment for sorry to say Bad BUGS..........You want to dry it up not keep it wet. Need any help or maybe some guidence let me know. Im NOT a Doc but im in Orthopeadics for just over 16 years now and i feel confident to try and help out. Best of luck to you and glad to hear you went to seek out treatment
