Got back from an Elk hunt mid last week and found out the local track had one last event where I could run time only in between heats (I had only ran once all year :banghead:). Unfortunately they were only allowing 1 run per time only round so I made 3 passes. Last time I ran here in late summer, it was with the MT drag radials. I couldn't get the car to hit at all. 60' were 1.8-1.9, 11.24 best ET @ 122 with 28 degrees total timing. This time I got to run some Hoosier 10.0 drag slicks I received for free as well as with the new Moser axles I bought. Bumped timing to 30-32 degrees and left timing alone and left jetting alone. Started with 15 psi, then 12 psi, and finally 10 psi. Got some new bests to close out the year.

1st pass: 10.75 ET w/1.52 60'
2nd pass: 10.74 ET w/1.51 60'
3rd pass: 10.73 ET w/1.52 60' (126 mph)

Feeling a lot better with the slicks knowing that it can hook a lot better than it was with drag radials. I think she should be getting 60' into the 1.4's if I just spend some more time tuning it. Will be sending the car over to a friend for a bit over the winter to make an adjustable setup for the upper 4 link bars. It's out of whack which is partly why I've had so much trouble with the MT drag radials I believe. I mounted my GoPro to the quarter panel and it seems like when the car launches, you can see the tires start to wrinkle, the front end comes up and the tires lift off the ground about an inch. As soon as those wheels hit the air, there's a shutter that shakes the camera pretty good and it kicked the back end out a bit on my 3rd run which hurt that 60' a bit. I don't know if that's the suspension unloading or what. Still trying to learn what's going on but it's nice to go back and watch it over and over and at least try and pretend to make sense of it all LOL!

Here's the runs. I could only cut 30 seconds at a time through the phone app without loading and video editing on the computer.

very cool, i´d like to get in the 1.5´s 60ft next year also....best is 1.60 at the moment (changing to 904 / 4.11 / 9.5" converter this winter and will relocate the battery).

Good luck to you bud. If you're already at 1.60 60', I bet you'll have no problem after the upgrade.

Thanks. Always glad to share.

X2, need to read your thread, find the combo..Sweet,on high end...Subscribed..

4" stroker kit and W2 heads. Those are 2 big things in the motor helping get the job done. :burnout:
