I cannot imagine why he thinks this is so priceless, the fact that it's "one owner" or "was his Dads" Judging from the hubs, the wheels and probably lower body were "quick repainted" and I've no idea what the odd markings are on the upper left bed.

The tailgate evidently does not close? Not a chance my friends

Added bonus: I don't think? the rear hood gasket came in green?

Original owner 1974 Dodge Power Wagon 86K miles - $4500 (S. Hill)

Original owner Power Wagon adventure package truck. No modifications all factory specification. My father drove this off the local Dodge lot 41 years ago. Great shape but needs some TCL in areas. Has been sitting and its time for it to find a new owner.

It has the rare easy to change rear passenger tail light bulb option. That alone is worth the price. I can't remember the last time I saw one of those on the road.

what happened to the front fender in front of drivers door ?

Worst part of the description to me is "been sitting". That's never a good thing.

Well at least it has a motor, is all together, some fools here try to sell cars here in a helluva lot worse shape here for that price and alot more. I think it is worth 3 grand if it runs. Its a rare bird a 4x4 and looks fairly rust free.

Joe that would be my concern, but do they use a lot of salt in the NW? I mean if it was here in the midwest or northeast I'd be more concerned. But i would really give 3 grand if it ran and was pretty rust free.

I Bought a new '73 3/4 ton 4X4 318/auto, adventurer in December of 1972 for $4,200.00. I guess I should have called it an investment & hung onto it.

$3800. Just Sayin... Cummins also

They have started to, and especially in the Spokamentro area they are using liquid, which is extremely corrosive. They don't plow if they can get away with it, just squirt more liquid on the roads.

For the price of 'ol green I'd buy this for another couple grand

All nice trucks I agree, i just like the look of that old green with white roof. But i was just trying to say that guys here ask twice that for junk, just look at a few "projects" for 7 to 9 grand. I would love that red 90 reg cab though 4wd and a stick diesel wow fun fun fun. Old trucks are rare around here and can command a premium. One thing though most of those trucks are 2wd, 4wd is whats needed around me which adds to the price.

I am the opposite. Here, we DO (at least used to) "have winter" but I don't do much winter driving, and don't go up off road anymore. I would just as soon have a 2wd, less maintenance. I do favor limited slip, though.

I'm tellin ya, tho. This guy ---my original post--is off his nut. Half that price would be plenty.

The original post you did.
I can see from the photo, front wheel bearing is shot, you can still buy the bearing, but the rotor is no longer made.... If you can fix this yourself $300 for parts IF you can find a rotor, also the axle joint will be shot.
Front fender is not original, inside is painted white.
Tailgate latch handle is missing, common problem on pre-81 trucks.
The plus, engine looks fairly un-touched which is a good thing, 3/4 ton so it has at least 4.10 gears and a Dana 60.
Body looks actually decent, so does the interior.
I would give $2500 if I needed it.

I gave $800 for this 78K mile one owner 1/2 ton, that came with the original window sticker, trade in of his Buick and sales papers.
But it took about another $2500 to fix the undercarriage because the original owner, did not own a grease gun, and only changed the oil.
About anything with a bearing needed attention.
