Im kinda Bummed

I worked at Home Depot 10 years ago and they sold us on this idea of "success sharing". Basically saying if we worked really hard for a year and drove sales up, everyone in the store would get a bonus check.

So for a year we collectively busted *** and by the end of the year we had the highest sales the store had in years. After work on a Friday they had a BBQ and were handing out our success sharing bonus checks. Everyone was all excited until they opened that envelope.

We got $25 each. The managers got $15k a piece.

Everyone was so bitter that we just half assed the job from there on out and half the managers ended up getting fired due to poor store performance. It really does pay to keep your employees happy.
