1967 Dart 270

After talking to the guy that I bought my complete motor from he told me that I shouldn't go with a manual valve body. He said that unless I was going to be racing it that I should stay away from doing that. The reason that I was going to go manual valve body was to get away with all of the kick down linkage. After doing some research I found the Lokar kick down cable and i am going to give that a shot. My biggest fear is getting the kick down adjusted correctly!

Did he say what the reasoning for not using the manual valve body? I have one in my Polara and know plenty of people who run them in their street cars without issue.
