Look what holley sent me!

I purchased a brand new Holley Street Avenger 670 back in 2006 (I believe). It was a nightmare directly out of the box and has remained so ever since.
Eventually I just decided to purchase a Holley Street Avenger 770 and it was (and still is) flawless.
About 6 months ago I decided to see if I could open up the aforementioned troublesome 670 and find any obvious issues that would be causing its tempermental conditions. As soon as I removed the first fuel bowl, it became crystal clear this carb. could never be made right or used again. Just like in the pictures of the carburetor posted above, chunks were coming off of the main body, metering plates, and fuel bowls!
Somehow remembering this thread, I called Holley and explained the entire predicament. The tech had me give him the date code off the carburetor. He then gave me specific instructions on sending the carb. back to them for inspection. About 2 weeks later I had a brand new Holley Street Avenger 670 delivered.
It is still sitting on my shelf as I have since stepped up and bought several Holley ULTRA Street Avenger series carburetor(s).
