I've been collecting 70s and 80s skateboards for about 10 years. I have a pretty extensive collection, but always looking for more. Let me know if you have any you would be willing to sell. I prefer "pig" decks that usually measure somewhere in the 10" X 30" range.

Here's part of my current collection, mostly reissues.

Don't have pics of my original boards at the moment.

Anyhow, message me and let me know what you have. Thanks!

You really should find a two-by-four board with old strap-on steel-wheeled skates pulled apart and nailed to the board like my first skateboard was just to show how boards have developed over the years. Locate a plywood board with skate board specific steel wheel trucks that was typical of the first generation commercial skateboards. Next would be the next generation that had thicker wood laminated boards that were shaped and had the first composite wheels. Lots of wipeouts with those boards whenever we hit a crack, pepple, bump, or ant. I like your collection.

I have an old G&S fiberflex that I ain't doing nothing with it is very used and ain't in no plastic wrap. Yellow on top blue green on bottom.

Like this one?

Not looking for this era of board, btw. Predated my skate era by about 20+ years.:D

nice collection. this picture just brought back some crazzy *** memories for me. in 1993ish me and my 2 best friends had jumped in a car with 3 girls and went to l.a. with them for a few days. when the fun was done my friends and I were hich hiking back up north out of L.A. and Mike Smith ended up picking us up and giving us a ride north of Bakersfield.
He and his girlfriend were on a camping trip with thier dog Pedro. Mike made his girlfriend drive so he could ride in the back of the van and drink beer and smoke weed with us. LOL! He made her stop twice to get more beer, to say the least we were hammered when they dropped us off. He is an AWESOME guy to hang out with.
I could probably type all night stories of other crazy adventures but seeing that Mike Smith deck just hit me. not alot of people remember him. He was totally shocked we knew who he was, by that time he was kinda lost to the new school.

Is that Mike Smith a reissue? I wanted that board so much I bought the sticker and put it on my Nash board.

I have a collection too but not much from that era that I would like to get rid of.

I skated a little back in the day. I still have my old Santa Cruz board from the 80s somewhere. Lots of use and abuse out of it though.

Tony Alva used to spend time in my condo complex in HB. Dont know who he was visiting but it was news to us. Gave us a sh!tload of stickers, they were plastered everywhere.

i prefer the old Powell Peralta ones. I had a Santa Cruz "Bod Boyle" which i used in the '90 but its gone now, sorry.

I wasn't much of a skateboarder but back in about 1977 my folks bought me one from a local bike shop. It was a "Maxwell" blue plastic board and red wheels with "Maxwell Max 500" in white letters. I have never seen one like it. Only saw an ad for one on ebay years ago.

I have about a dozen completes from the 80s in nice condition. None that I'd part with though. One of my favorites is a 70s, plastic California Freeformer. It's identical to the one I learned on. Loved that thing as a little boy.

Cool to see something different here.

Here's the only old one I own. It's a Banzai from around late 70's or early 80's. I still ride it just for fun now & then......it also works great for moving engines around with! :D Not for sale, no way!!

I had an old "GT by Grentec" plastic fantastic, spent more time on it on my knee as a kick board. Anyone have some soft old gumball wheels they want to part with? Had some super soft orange OJ's on that GT board, rolled right over pebbles. then I "found" a super long SIMS board with Lazer trucks and Hobie wheels, I guess I could ride it faster then the owner could run!!! My boys board came with rock hard PVC wheels...PVC!!! ;-( they said Kryptonics but I think that fine name was sold to China.

Wow those bring back memories. I skated in the late 80s and used to have all of mine and my brothers old boards. We had around 20 decks in the garage and they all got stolen. Cool to see them reissue thr old school boards.

pishta: i have a set of OJ2'S HOT JUICE wheels in black. they are super soft.

if those DOGTOWN boards were originals they would be worth gold to some.

I'm pretty sure I'm out on spending 1200 for a couple of reissues.

However, I wouldn't mind striking a deal on some black OJIIs.
