Anyone know the approximate weight of a complete drum to drum 8.75 with 489 and gears?

or, if no idea of weight - can two average guys carry/move one around with relative ease or is it heavier than that where I need a forklift?

Thanks

Me and a friend man handled my 8 3/4 with rallye wheels and tires bolted to it. It wasn't impossible to do, but it is heavy enough that I wouldn't want to do it again.

2 people should be able to move it easy enough. I moved one here by myself with a hand truck.

The third member is right around 50 pounds. The axles I would guess 20 pounds each. The brake drum with backing plates and hardware another 20-25 pounds each. I would guess 150-160 dry, but awkward. Did i forget anything?

Put the tires on it and just roll it to where you need to go.

I had my 12 year old nephew help me unload one once, with full brakes on it, but no wheels

it was tricky, but doable

when I got round to install it I moved it around the garage with a cherry picker until I was behind the car, then bolted the wheels on and rolled it in place, on my own

OEM axles would be around 20 lbs each! I just boxed up a pair of A-body 35 spline Moser axles with studs & bearings. They are the beefier 35 spline, but boxed up, it weighs right around 50 lbs!

Sure Grip or open rear would also make a noticeable difference.

I moved it myself with care and slowly as not to bump anything or anybody.
It's is heavy, but not impossible to move from A - B. Anything over hip height and you should have a helping hand for sure.

I move them around by myself all the time! Just pulled one from a car and manhandled it out alone, complete with 11" drums and brakes! Is it fun??? NO!! Easy?? NO!! Easier coming out than going in!!

A sure grip pumpkin is 75 lbs. I bought one from Idaho and it was shipped here FedEx...
