Safety is the main concern, which is why I wanted to do something about the braking situation. I'm a college student, and I'm saving up to move next fall, so in all fairness this is not the financially ideal time for me to be restoring a classic in the first place. But what can I say, I love the car! That does seem to end up costing about the same as a 10" drum conversion would, and the parts are decidedly easier to get. I have a mix of 14" wheels the PO put on, but the fronts have the middle rally bit and the extra little holes to fasten on rally middle bit, so I'm assuming they are rally wheels, so it should fit well.
