So, what's your biggest dummy moment??

There was a 71 Ventura at the local U-Pullit that was in really nice condition and perfect for the husband's 69 Nova project. "I wanna strip it! I love the junkyard!!" Pulled every part I could think of (even the subframe). The one thing he really needed was the driver's front fender well. I figured I had plenty of time, I stopped by every day pulling this and that... then finally got to the fender.

I got all the fasteners off, but one wouldn't budge. No worries, I'll come back the next day with WD-40. Next day, that didn't work either. Ok, no worries, I'll come back with a breaker bar. That didn't work. Ok, now I'm pissed. Hacksaw it is. I gathered up every tool in my arsenal, took the morning off of work, and dragged a full mechanic's set...saw...2 breaker bars...and a 5 gallon bucket full of anything else I could think of to the back of the yard in the hot Florida sun.

They had crushed the damn Ventura an hour before I got there. Now hubby has to order the fender well. Oops lol.

That sucks!
