3D printing
I was actually discussing this with a friend when I was at Woodward's this past summer. If it's possible to print out clear plastics, a lot of old lenses could be repopped pretty easy. Since you can print 1 at a time if you'd like, it wouldn't really be all that cost inhibitive. It's just getting the design right.
