I don't recall what the part in question is/was, but if you're not happy with it, send it back. I never refuse a refund if it is reasonable and returned in the same condition as it was sent.
It was set of hood hinges and my body/paint guy would not use them! To much play for him, so I got a rebuilt set from S&S. Never saw them myself just took his word on it.
Needless to say the driver side hinge from S&S still wants to bind, just like my original did!
