Mopar Heads ~ 'The Best Chevy Street Performer You Ever Owned'
My Turn
The Summer of 1971
For Sale
1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray {convertible}
327/375 HP 'Fuel Injection'
Milano Maroon w/Black Rag Top
Cragar S/S Wheels {15" x 6"} all around.
The Rochester Ram-Jet Fuel Injection unit was 'brand new', and dialed in.
The Corvette had come through with 4.56 Gears and a Close-Ratio 4-Speed.
The one issue, the Rear-End {Independent} was blown to 'Smithereens'.
For Sale .......... $2000
I got the Corvette for $1800
I think it cost me $600 to have a new Rear-End unit installed back then.
Once it was together, that Corvette was an out-right A-N-I-M-A-L.
Winter came in December 1971. Corvette Sting Ray's are useless in the Northeast.
Goom-Bye !
