I want to sell my die-cast collection. 1/24th NHRA cars, bikes, etc[lots autographed]...1/18 mopar dragcars, lots of vintage 1/18th F1, and various rare and nice pieces. I'd like to sell it all, with showcases. LOTS of $$$$$$ invested.

Looking for trade, [cash offers]. All the boxes are bagged and attic stored. Some unopened stuff laying around, too.

Mike

Just morbid curiosity...but what do you think a fair price for such a fantastic collection might be?? Really belongs in a museum somewhere...Thanks for sharing.

I'm asking 12k for EVERYTHING!! Some of the F1 cars were over $250 each. Lots of high-end stuff you can't make out in the pics.

how many models total, 'cuz i'm thinking your price may be too low? about 2-3 years ago i sold my collection of 900-1000 diecast for 20k plus another 3k for my 6 gold plated ones. contact Jim Thoren @ supercar1.com, he's who bought my gold ones, he may be interested.

Thanks. I had a [fill in the blank] on another mopar site, tell me I'd be lucky to get $400.00 for all of them. I don't intend to do any of the work, so I've priced accordingly. A big-time collector called me yesterday, and said he saw 20K....and really couldn't see much in the pics. I have right around 400 pieces.

Merry Christmas, folks!!!

-Any 1/64th '70 Coronets? OR a 1978 Dodge Power Wagon, or '78 Little Red express? I'd be interested if the price is right!

That's an amazing collection! I even seen a green 340 duster in there! I don't have a huge collection. but I have to say my favorite piece is a 1971 Dodge Demon 340 from the Ertl America Muscle series. I got it used still in the box unopened off of eBay for 80$. Since then I been trying to track down a 1970 Twister Duster in green as its twin

You wouldn't happen to be close to Somerset, PA by chance?

I grew up just outside of Somerset, PA myself and know of a family with the same last name and thought MAYBE someone from my home area![/QUOT im not sure if I have relatives down that way. It's possible. I'm about half way between Erie and Pittsburgh.

Yeah.... I moved away in '04 so.... I go back to visit and all but its like a lot of car guys there too so.... you never know who you might run into online, as it makes it a small world....

If you cant sell your collection complete, unfortunately you may have to move the "iron" one vehicle at a time using evilbay, or another similar auction site.

I got too much stuff like this as well, can be a pain in the *** trying to offload it.

With some of his cars he might not have a problem on eBay. The thing that sucks is PayPal likes to hold the money for a bit plus take their cut. That 71 Demon 340 I bought off there was about 80$ with a box that had some dings. Some of those especially if he has the boxes can get some decent money for them. I've seen demon and dusters 1:18 scale still going for 70$ with out the boxes.

Myself? I'd LOVE to get a beater (restore 1:18th) '70 Coronet R/T with a Hemi in it, or a '70 Coronet Super Bee also with a Hemi in it, just so, I can make it up MY WAY. but not pay the ridiculous prices they are fetching....
