Has anyone run the combination of long tube headers, say hedman or hooker with a mini starter? I'm curious to see if anyone has and if you are able to remove and replace the mini starter without having to move the headers at all. Thanks guys for checking out this thread.

I wound up using a set of NOS CPPA headers on my 69 Dart 360 and the mini starter would not work. I had to use the original big starter. And I hope the hell I never have to replace the starter.

I got hooker 5204 1 3/4 inch headers...i have to loosen the headers up to get the stater on and off...it is a ministarter...

I have 1-5/8 Hedman long tubes and don't have a problem getting to or removing the mini.

I've got TTI's can have the mini starter in and out in less then 10 minutes:D:D

1 5/8" Hooker headers here, no problem with the mini starter.

Cheapo Summit full length and the mini starter fits easily. No loosening that PIA drivers side either to get at her, love the mini. I run a heat shield on it as well.

I've got a set of 1 5/8" Doug's headers on my 340 with the short frame mini starter from a Dakota. I have had the starter in and out three times without unbolting the headers or any steering linkage. Hope that helps.

hooker headers with a mini starter. fits ok and goes in and out alright but I'm going to need to dimple one of the tubes to get a heat shield installed.

Killer, I've got a mild 360, 340 cam, ported heads and bought the summit long tubes with the mini starter already installed. Waiting in the headers to arrive so I can paint and wrap them. The information you guys proceeded was perfect, thank you
