Help me out here, I looked thru forabodiesonly and couldn't find much on LO/BO cars, where is it on their sight?

It very nice that here on Abodies that the top banner has a what? BO29 Cuda as the headlining picture!

Here I edited this for you

Ok, just think about this for a moment. There was just over 100 of these cars produced and just look at the impact they have made and still do to this day. Are there any other cars that were not mass produced that the NHRA designated it's very own class for?
These Darts and Cudas were built almost 50 years ago and a few are still being raced today. Where are the Thunderbolts and COPO cars?
I've always enjoyed these cars. I'm with you guys. I'm hoping for a separate forum.

Ted

I voted yes, but I'm probably more ambivalent than anything else about it. I don't stop into most of the different forums on this site for a lot of reasons. I think the SS cars are neat, but I don't really give them much of my time because I'll never be able to afford one.

Butch Leal

'Delano Motors Dodge'

SS/B ~ 4-Speed

Butch Leal was partners with David Price on that 'shortly' campaigned car.

I have photo's of it at Lions Drag Strip in Long Beach, California in the Spring of 1968, with Butch driving it.

"The California Flash" I used to love watching him race on TV.

this is my dual plug 426 hemi that's going in my 71 dart for a nostalgia pro stock

I voted a resounding yes to the forum, and if there's no room, remove the blue forum.
There are a lot of us that would very much like to see how these cars are built and to drool over the pictures.
These cars IMO, are the holy grail for a-bodies!

I can't believe how many pages there are on the thread on BO29/LO23 cars at that sight, I'm going to be reading looking at pictures for a long time!!
Thanks for the link!

Don't leave forabodiesonly, This is what I am talking about. This make sense to have. We do not need a lot of the none car stuff forums, Nobody is on them.
Yes this will dye out a little in the future, BUT it will continue to attract a lot of members for this site. Possible adding advertisement for the site to make money.

You can delete my posts all you want but I still want to know who the dissenters are , call it a membership test

-- I remember him in another brand that starts with a F. -- Also in various Mopars, later.

Hey. Everyone has some skeleton's in the closet. Sox & Martin started out in another brand that started with a M.

I want to know who are the 11 people who voted no?
Must have swapped a LS motor in their Mopar.

Before Sox & Martin raced the 64 Comet they ran a 63 Impala. Dick Landy's success in racing Fords got him a ride in a Mopar.

yes the Holy Grail!

having this info and a real forum for it, enables the new guy/girl to the hobby to see first hand what the baddest of the baddest was back in the day!????

Great idea, currently working on a 1968 Hemi Dart clone. Lots of history out there for posting. Just look back on Classracer website.

I'm with the 84 percent. Theres no such thing as too much information and consolidating as much as we can on one site is a great idea. I understand that because there were only 50 or so of each produced that on the surface committing resources to such a limited vehicle may seem like a bad idea. Well, I recently viewed a resto program on Velocity channel that documented the restoration of a Bugatti that was done solely from some old photos as the only source of information. With all the resources we have available these days there is no need for this to occur again. This site is supposed to be about all facts information and owners of A-Bodies.

ADD THE HEMI'S !!!

I'm a gen III hemi guy for sure. Love my car the way it sits with the modern features.

That being said, I've owned my dart since I was 15 (20 yrs now). The reason Darts first showed up on my radar as an aspiring gearhead was an article that hotrod or carcraft or somebody did on the 68 SS dart...

So I vote yes.

Joe

I'll never own one of these great cars (price) but love reading about them, seeing all the old pics and the restorations like davescuda is involved with .........voted YES
