I have always loved reading/dreaming about them...fascinating info....

most of us cannot afford the price of a race hemi..... but affordable 68 dart rollars are out there. the 68 cudas seem a little harder to find and pricier....missing parts $$... BUT, I can see some FABO members considering a build of the LO/BO car with a stock 440/or BB stroker????? $$ allowing, a hemi could be had later...

these project cars are still out there. and cheap, even by FABO standards.

I passed on pair of 68 cuda rollers, price for both $1000. one complete car hit is L. rear qtr. the other a rust free roller, missing its vin. everything there to build a car and parts left over. CL listing. i'm not into reboding so I passed, and (2 600 mi trips!)

I actually touched them, and saw them run in 1968.

Of course I also voted YES! My cousin still owns one of the '68 Barracudas B029 that he ordered new and it is still in mint shape... The Hairbender
YES!!!!!!!

I would like to thank everybody who has voted and the ones still to vote. I did not think we would get these many votes. WOW keep the votes coming.

We need this to keep going. I need the help of you guys to contact the people here to make this happen, I cannot do this alone. Their plenty of forums that we can get rid of that nobody uses.

I'm in

I have wanted a SS barracuda since I was 13. I have been working on my own as raced day 2 clone for over 10yrs. I wanted to do a vintage paint scheme and all just like the Tom Myl car Bucky and Travis are painting. Some day I will finish it.....

Why is this the common assumption that in order to add one, one has to go?

Most of the ones that are here are here because they've been lobbied for, just like you're doing. I've yet to see Joey take one (that I can recall) to be able to add one.

Hello, new to the forum. I voted yes. Here's mine that I built in '93 and still not done!

Thanks MobileCustoms, I tried to build the clone as close as I could to a real Mr. Norms Hemi Dart. There was a guy in Minn. named Fred Englehart or something like that, back in the day, that had a couple hemi darts and he was a great source of info for me as well as letting me trace the quarter cut outs, etc. I hope to see a forum as well as I would like to finish my life long project. Like others have said, I don't have any intentions of ever owning one, but would love to see another source of information, history and restoration documentation for them here on FABO.

I don´t think this is what we mean really. I look at it this way... Since there are several forums that has nothing to do with FABO, and add another ten of them... I couldn´t care less, But for all the pork in the world, add a Forum about these ´68 Super Stockers. And like I said because anyone anywhere, knowing anything about drag racing, understand why there should be one on FABO!!!

Did this post bring you to forabodiesonly?

After checking out some other forums, this one seemed to have a lot of nice features. It was actually the post on tire sizes that brought me here. Thanks. Maplecap

I have already voted so I want fill the ballot box!! but like the guy said, those interested in this should keep this going so those guys that aren't on here every fri----- day will see it and voice their opinion.

most of us get into the old mopars (cars) because we have a dream. we may never build a SS replica or own a real one, but we love to study history, facts, lies, truths, and related info..... and these cars represent the ultimate mopar, IMHO.

Great Idea Dave
This slipped by me a few years ago and it still hurts Today(not a real BO car but was run as one)

Uh-huh.

Take a look through the thread and you'll see the banging of the drums of "we need this" and then suggestions of what could "go" to make room for it.

Do I believe that a sub-forum should exist for the penultimate A-body? I voted "yes." These cars have always fascinated me from an historical perspective. I just think it's greedy for the membership who's chiming in on this thread making a list of "what could go" to make room for it. Those sub-forums were lobbied for by the members, too, rather there's an interest from others or not. The idea that "this needs to go" to make room for "this" is sending a giant middle finger to other members who have different interests.

There's room here for it as there's a lot of sub-forums that didn't exist when I joined here. Just don't be so quick to pounce on telling other members that what is already here "has" to go.
