Hi, all. I'm in central Utah and have undertaken a car project that no one else seems to find worth the bother. I picked up a 62 Dodge Lancer GT that someone else had started. He'd looked at the interior, noticed that the seats and door panels were torn up, so he threw them away. Yeah, an idiot... Anyhow, the good news is that the slant six was already rebuilt, so that's one thing less for me to do. I found the seats and door panels I needed in South Dakota, but still need to find a bunch of trim that has disappeared; most stuff unique to the GT. My previous builds have been a series of '58 Chevys, and this is my first Mopar. It appears that the 61 and 62 Lancers are sort of a red-haired stepchild among Mopar collectors, but I like the mid-century modern space-age styling of it.

WOW! that car looks very familiar, does it happen to have had a lot of bondo added to the deck lid. Have fun with the build.
And Merry Christmas to you all

No, the deck lid is clean. Haven't found any bondo anywhere on it, although I do have to deal with some tinworm in the rocker panels and a bit in the trunk.

Good looking GT, hard to find a clean one like that.

Welcome to FABO!

I, for one, like the 'Toads' - they make cool cars (and weigh a bit less than their successors, if you care about that sort of thing)

I lika da style! I've only seen a couple, at car shows, and I stopped for them longer than most others!

Not my favorit car, but the more I see them...they grow on ya! Saw one at a show a couple months ago. Chatted with the owner a few minutes. I think it was the only car i looked at for more than 30 seconds.

Cool score! Looks like it's in nice shape.

Welcome to FABO, have fun with the car!
BTW, i like the '58 Chevs too.......
