Yup. It was only Kitty and me this year. We didn't hear from my family or hers. None of our children. We sat at the table thankful to be with each other and throwin the cats an occasional piece of ham. It was quiet. It was nice. It was special. It would have been nice to hear from someone, though.
So be thankful for what you have. Not everybody is as blessed.
