TNT'ers think they are racers

I like to T&T, it gives me a chance to tune on my junk without the pressure of doing it during regular time trials on race night. I work 12 hour swing shifts on a seven day schedule so I only have two week ends off a month so I don't race much. Anyone that has bracket raced knows if you don't race much (most of the time) you're cannon fodder for the guys that are there every week end. This why my car is was built to run on pump 93 and be street driven.

From what I've seen most people that hate 1/8 mile racing aren't very good at it. When my Dart had the 340 it ran 7.24 in the 1/8 and 11.61 in the 1/4. Until you get to the stripe the last 1/8 of a 1/4 mile race was boring. Plus in a 1/4 mile race you have more time to decide how you are going to drive the stripe. In an 1/8 mile race the stripe comes up quickly so you better be on your game. You can beat on 1/8 mile racers but that's where some of the best racers in the country are.

Around here when there is a true heads up race (not often) you better have a car that runs high 4s or low 5s if plan on running near the top..
