Good question. Mine has the stripe & all it has on the fender is the fish emblem. Pictures of my dads 69 cuda (in 69) doesn't have the stripe & it has the 340-s on the fenders.
I've seen them with both as well. That's why I wondered which was really correct. I suspect that cars without the stripe called out got the 383S emblem below the Barracuda.
