If I do say so myself, "White Whale"

Or you can punch a hole, weld a nut to the pan and use a bolt w/copper washer as a drain plug. These are things most of us have just laying around.

no leaks ? not so snowy and not too cold, well at least not snowy.

I'd say the jury is still out. I probably ran it the other day, and today, a total of about an hour, idling, mostly. Ran it around the block today. (Had to move the back yard and re-arrange things) So far, "clean"

Have a good New Years

sounds good, it don't take long for fluid to find a way out.
Happy New Year, hope it's a good one for you.

Somebody wanted photos of the crossmember. Don't know if these will help

That is some nice engineering sir!

Wish I had a lift, did the 727 on my 62 with it on stands. Once it was down, tied a rope to it and cranked the drivers side up real high and yanked it out under the torsion bar. Sketchy at best :) Install was reverse, just yanked it under from the other side. Getting it on the hf lift under the car was a chore.

Putting an 8 3/4 3rd member in was challenging as well, heavier than it looks.

That in part is also why I built this jack. Last time the Dart was running I had to pull the 3rd member out and make some changes. This is a Ford / Versailles / disk brake unit, so 3rd member at least as heavy. I managed to get a garbage can and blocks under the axle (on the lift) rest awhile, and then "throw" the 3rd member up there. But I doubt I could do that now, just 3 years or so later.

Age, arthritic, and other health issues has left me MUCHO dimished from just a few years ago.
