Hello all and Happy New Year!

I am diving back into a multi decade project.
I have a 73 duster that will end up as a 72 demon (long story)

My question is will the Demon front Valence, Grill, bumper supports head light pods et cetera fit up to the duster rad support?

any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

welcome - never done it, but it should mostly - you'll probably run into some fitment issues as you go, though I would expect them to be minor - the fenders are different enough that you'll have to change them.. but it sounds like you know that..

thanks, I am aware the fenders are different.
I wish I had pics of the rad supports side by side Demon /Duster.

I have seen enough of these car apart - they are a LOT alike - take away the supports for grills and what not and I am pretty sure the differences are minimal at best. You are not charting unknown ground here - it has been done.

Had a friend converter Demon to Duster...so it can be done...

New hood.
New fenders.
New Valance.
New grille.
New bumper.
New upper grille support.

And i think that should do it.

changed a 71 duster into a 71 demon a few years ago easier now because of more aftermarket items on the market

I have a 74 duster front clip on my 72 dart and everything was a straight bolt on deal except for one bolt on each fender on the core support.

wow! thanks a lot for the info.

I have to finnish up on a job and ill be ready to dive in for a week or two, I cant wait.
I can almost smell melting metal now (lots of welding to do)

No heat in shop yyyyeyet bbbut sssooon!
Damn cold this morning!

Where in On. are you?

72bluNblu changed his 74 Duster to a 71 demon. Here's his build

Yes I did. All the body parts from the firewall forward that unbolt need to be swapped. Fenders, hood, grille support, bumper, bumper brackets, front valance, etc. Even the fender splash shields are different because of the difference in the wheel opening.

This picture illustrates it pretty well. My duster was tan, everything in black was swapped on. If you want to go for the full clone job, you also have to swap the tail panel and rear bumper. I've done both as well.

do the wheel bases differ between duster and demon?

Duster, demon and dart sport all have a 108" wheelbase. The hardtop Dart's are 111". I believe the 67-69 Valiants were 108" as well?

Good luck with the swap over, will be looking forward on the progress and pics. A good friend of mine has a 73 Duster and hes thought about it himself...his car is real decent but fenders need attention.
