Checked all the websites, even Competitionplus.com, but no details on why Larry Dixon has stepped down as Driver for Vandergriff racing. Lea Pritchett to take his place.

Me thinks the bad wreck he had last year has him going back to wrenching. Cant say I blame him, that was one BAD WRECK. Hard to believe he walked away from it.

Go to Youtube to see multiple vids of his Gainesville qualifying Crash. He has had multiple BAD Crashes in his career.

It's all about money...Leah brings sponsorship money with her Larry couldn't .

Correct. Plus she's young and female = fan base!

I had read somewhere that Larry was to remain with the team in an unspecified roll at that time. Many folk thinks he will be team manager.

As for the poll 1/4 mile is where its at i don't even watch the fuel cars anymore cause' they only run 1000'...

As said it's all about the $$$$$$$$$$$! That's what runs this country.

This sucks I love seeing Dixon run. Class act.

Dayumn.
I always thought Larry Dixon was one of the best on the circuit.
I met him at the races a few times, a really nice guy.

If I owned the car..and had to pick between Larry and Leah....I would rather watch her butt waking around the pits then larry's......

YEA, SHE'S ONE HOT *****.
And unfortunately, Married.

Um,lets see.. a multiple time winner(Dixon) or Leah who has NEVER won a topfuel event..if it were my car i know who'd be driving:burnout::burnout::burnout:

On the outside Dixon comes across as a really nice guy but there has to be something about his personality that doesn't mesh with Sponsors and car owners.Seems unusual for a championship caliber driver to keep getting replaced.

Personally I think he was a victim of politics when he got let go at Al-Anabi. Something else that has been going on for a while is the age thing. Wouldn't be the first time that a driver got moved along in favor of a younger, more marketable fresh face. Larry's starting to get on in years, some recent close ups I've seen of him he's starting to look a little rough.
