Can anyone confirm the factory finish on the sway bars on a GTS or formula S Barracudu please.
 
Mine looked like bare metal or grey. So I blasted mine to bare metal. Primed it and painted it with Spray Grey.Looks Great. See my build thread.
 
Thank you Mitch! Best of luck on the cool project. I was thinking about either just putting a matte clear after sand blasting or a coat of cast blast and then matte clear to keep it from rusting. I saw an episode of Graveyard cars on a 70 Cuda resto and it looked to be gray or natural finish on that car.
 
All the ones that I've seen have surface rust as the original color...
 
Sounds like they were just raw steel.

i think raw steel or dipped black.I went raw and used RPM.
..i'll tell you in a couple of years if it works!
