Can anyone show me via pictures the proper placement of the jack and tire iron in the trunk of a 68 Dart. Also can someone show me the proper placement of the jack baseplate and hook.

I have the jacking instructions but the diagram is a little too cluttered to show exact placement.

Let me take a look see :glasses7:

Sorry about that, here is a members car, a 69 , should be the same I would think.

I would think the base goes under the tire cover on top of the wheel , Just a thought

This picture shows the jack assembly on the opposite side of the trunk. However I think that is close. here's how i have it.

The next puzzle is placement of the jack tongue. The jacking instructions shows it goes on the spare below the jack base. There's suppose to be a hole in the tongue where the bolt goes through. Mine doesn't have the hole so I'm thinking it's a later A body

Yes, it's the image for the Charger, but the assembly is the same. Just on the opposite side.

You have it right.

I can't tell for sure from your picture, but I believe the tire iron should also be captured with the spring to keep it from rattling....

I've always slid the iron into the jack so that just the curved end with the socket is sticking out.

My 68 is the same as dart4forte, the pressure from the jack and spring hold the tire iron.

^^^^I'm thinking it's this per the diagram. The loop holds the tire iron down, the spring placed around the tire iron behind the loop and to the jack.
